The Universe is a mirror… on a time delay
I recently had a conversation with someone I met at the UP Game who explained the Universe and our relationship to life as a mirror which is on a time delay.
When you are born, you are full of wonder, love, and excitement. You approach the world with joy and a happy disposition. Let’s label this as ages 0-10, just to follow along with the example.
The Universe, which operates beyond the boundaries of time, doesn’t respond immediately. As you get older, you become filled with angst, anger, and distrust because your initial output was not returned. Let’s call this ages 10-20.
When the Universe starts reciprocating your initial feelings of love and excitement (from when you were 0-10), you then again become filled with positive and uplifting feelings (ages 20-30).
However, given the time delay of this mirror, the Universe follows your trend and then provides you with the negative situations and circumstances which followed your childhood wonder (those from years 10-20).
Feeling this, you may revert to those low vibration feelings, thinking the Universe is out to get you.
This cycle of delayed feedback perpetuates itself. As a result, you can find yourself going through life untrusting and never truly happy or at peace.
At first, it may feel unnatural to be grateful for every situation in the moment, and that’s fine in the beginning.
The very first step starts with being present and allowing yourself to process through what the emotion is trying to tell you.
Once you do this practice of deep self-awareness long enough, it can move from conscious processing to subconscious. While that in and of itself has its pros and cons, it ultimately helps you get to the next level of acceptance.
That next level is where you can accept the situation completely, and allow yourself to move forward.
Once you’ve mastered this yet again, you can proceed to the next level of growth awareness, which is gratitude for that situation.
This is where you allow yourself to be grateful for the situation that occurred, regardless of what it was.
The gratitude you feel will allow your heart to open and bring more opportunities to be grateful into your life.
Oftentimes, you don’t realize it at the time and it can take weeks, months, or even multiple years or decades for you to realize the silver lining in a situation.
You may not want to hear this, but every situation has a silver lining. Yes, even the most difficult or trying. They are there to help you grow and evolve in this game of life.
Bring greater awareness into your emotional state to unlock further progress in your personal growth journey.
Emotional awareness is on the journey towards emotional clarity, and ultimately inner peace.
If you find yourself in an intense emotion or thought spiral for prolonged periods of time (beyond what you feel is healthy for your own self to become aware, grow, and move forward), remember the story of the Universe on a time delay.
Lean into the closest feeling of joy, regardless of what that is, and allow your energy to vibrate higher.
From a higher energetic state, things that weren’t immediately apparent while you were in distress may become clearly evident for you and your highest good.
