If you could simply think your life into creation and expansion, what would you think and imagine for yourself?
Would you want to become a world-class ultramarathon runner?
Would you want to spend your life studying the intricacies of the human brain and the answers to life’s existential questions?
Would you want to find ways to attract the perfect passive and recurring income into your life so you could travel and explore the world?
What if you are capable of all you imagine for yourself, and all it simply takes is to unlearn previously held belief systems in order to do so.
Your entire life from the moment you are born, is an indoctrination into society’s dream. Don Miguel Ruiz sums this up beautifully in his introduction to The Four Agreements (I suggest watching this 3 minute video before reading on).
After an experience in 2023 where I left my body and became the thought thinking itself, I’ve become more conscious of my own thoughts as the mechanism for writing the story of my co-created physical reality, than I ever have been before.
So how exactly can you use the power of your own thoughts to unlearn what no longer serves you and step into your greatest energy as a walking manifester in the material realm?
Let’s get into some 20th century science and psychology to learn more.
Morphogenetic Fields & The Collective Unconscious
Rupert Sheldrake is an author and parapsychology researcher who talks about the concept of morphogenetic fields.
Simply stated, morphogenetic fields (and morphic resonance) are memory that is inherent in nature, with similar patterns influencing subsequent ones across time.
In Sheldrake’s words, “Natural systems, or morphic units, at all levels of complexity — atoms, molecules, crystals, cells, tissues, organs, organisms, and societies of organisms — are animated, organized, and coordinated by morphic fields, which contain an inherent memory. Natural systems inherit this collective memory from all previous things of their kind by a process called morphic resonance, with the result that patterns of development and behavior become increasingly habitual through repetition. There is a continuous spectrum of morphic fields, including morphogenetic fields, behavioral fields, mental fields, and social and cultural fields.”
Basically, Sheldrake believes that everything from the quantum level to the universal level is organized in these various morphic fields, and that as the patterns of behavior become more habitual and repeated, these morphic fields become stronger and more defined. We can even liken this to neuroplasticity and the deepening synaptic connections between neurons that create well-worn grooves in the habitual actions in our lives.
This concept of morphic resonance reminds me of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung’s term the collective unconscious.
The collective unconscious, occasionally called the objective psyche, refers to the idea that a segment of the deepest unconscious mind is genetically inherited, instinctual, and not shaped by personal experience.
In essence, Jung believed there is a level of unconsciousness shared across all people that was inherited from the past collective experiences of humanity.
So this got me thinking… what if the morphogenetic field we currently call our reality is simply an inherited structure from our family, culture, and even society at large operating on various stratified, but interconnected, levels. Most of which, has been completely unconscious in our own conditioning and patterning, but has been passed down through habitual and repeated practices over hundreds and thousands of years.
The 4-minute Mile
To bring this into practicality, let’s explore what breaking the 4-minute mile barrier can teach us about rewriting the morphogenetic fields of our life.
Since at least 1886, running a sub-four-minute-mile had become a physical and psychological barrier. It became a Holy Grail of athletic achievement.
Experts believed that in order for a runner to set a time under this mark, conditions had to be perfect – no wind, 68 degrees, a hard, dry track, and a boisterous crowd.
However, in England on May 6, 1954, Roger Bannister was the first recorded runner to bust through the barrier with a time of 3:59.40.
Yet most fascinatingly, 46 days after Bannister’s record, an Australian runner, John Landy, not only broke the barrier, but set a new record of 3:58 for the mile.
A year later, three more runners broke the four-minute barrier in a single race.
Over the past 70 years, 1,755 athletes have now broken this once insurmountable barrier (with the record holder being a Moroccan Olympian with a 3:43.13 mile).
This story is a gem in understanding how to rewrite morphogenetic fields for yourself and the world.
When one individual can use their intention and action to create a new resonant frequency for the previously unimaginable, it creates a ripple effect in the collectively held morphic resonance belief system.
Instantaneously, it creates a new view of what is possible. It simply takes someone who is determined and faithful enough to see the vision through to the end, in order to rewrite the narrative of an entire reality.
Henry Ford & The V8 Engine
In the 1930s, Henry Ford, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, pushed his brightest engineers to believe in possibility. When Ford decided to produce his famous Ford V8 motor, he envisioned something that had never been done before. He sought to build the engine with the entire eight cylinders cast in one block. With this vision in mind, he instructed a small group of his most capable engineers to produce a design for the engine.
The design was drawn up, but some of the smartest mechanical engineering minds of the time stated that it was simply impossible to cast an eight-cylinder engine-block in one piece. Henry Ford replied, “produce it anyway.”
In 1932, the Flathead V8 engine became a reality. As a result, he was able to keep manufacturing costs down, make the engine affordable to consumers, and drive the proliferation of his company’s success. It is with this mindset that his quote, “Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you’re right” is truly embodied.
Bannister and Ford are two examples of those ingenious enough to challenge the status quo.
It takes someone who is willing to stand up and follow through with their own personal belief to rewrite history and globally held unconscious belief systems.
Make a Choice
All too often, the majority of individuals walk through life completely asleep.
A victim to collectively held societal belief systems, due to no fault of their own.
The programming through government, media, advertising, and all of our inputs tell us that a suburbia lifestyle with a partner, six-figure salary, 2.5 kids, a golden retriever, and a white picket fence is the societal expectation of a “successful” life.
It takes asking yourself the existential questions: “who am I?”, “what is my purpose here?”, “what really fulfills me?”, and “what do I really want out of life?” to help awaken you to the fact that you are a co-creator of your reality.
When you do so, it brings awareness to you waving your thread alongside the other seven billion dreamweavers on the planet to bring your heaven on earth reality into material existence.
If you are the thought that is thinking itself into creation, what would you think and imagine for yourself?
What are you afraid of in the event it all works out?
It’s time to drop the fear and make a choice.
In the words of Carl Jung, “until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
Are you ready to step into leadership and rewrite the morphogenetic field for yourself and all of humanity?
It simply starts with a choice.
