June 20th-22nd marks the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere most years.
This day varies by year and closely aligns with the sun moving into the sign of Cancer.
The word solstice means standstill of the Sun. During this time, the sun rises and sets at the same place on the horizon, so it appears to be standing still.
It also symbolizes a time to nourish your seeds of intention so that they grow and blossom physically.
If the spring corresponds to planting the seeds, and the fall corresponds to reaping the harvest, the summer is that period in between where the life-giving light of the sun activates enlightenment, awareness, and tangible growth.
