It reminded me of Karla’s book because she states that Emotions are always TRUE, as they are responding to emotionally evocative stimuli.

However, they are not always RIGHT, because the stimuli may not always be valid.

Next time you’re in an emotional spiral, try these 3 simple steps:

  • 1. Name the emotion you’re feeling
  • 2. Question the emotion
  • 3. Then ask yourself if you are acting on information from the emotion OR choose to not act because the stimulus is invalid
